Your Stories
I joined the digital inclusion group at CAN in April 2017 and was really scared to use my laptop in case I lost all my details. Through attending the class on a weekly basis, I can now connect my mobile phone to my laptop to upload my photos, do online shopping and my family tree. I now feel a lot more confident at using the laptop on my own and would definitely recommend this class to other members of the community.

Before I joined the class I didn’t have the confidence and was frightened to use the tablet on my own, so I needed my grandson to help me. Through attending the class I now have more confidence in using the device on my own. I really enjoy knitting and I have learnt how to search for patterns and wool shops online. I have also done my family tree and find out what’s happening in my local community. One of the best parts is being able to Skype my granddaughter who lives in London. I definitely recommend this class to others looking to gain confidence and digital skills.

Fiona and Angela are part of the CAN committee, they say: “It’s great to see such a variety of people coming along to sessions and enjoying themselves. We can see that their confidence has really grown and we look forward to continuing the digital inclusion group throughout the year”.
